More and more people intend to commute with electric scooters these days, not only because they are fashionable, but also practical and economical. Under this circumstance, various electric scooters have begun to enter the market, pricing cheap to expensive, and their quality varies too. Scooters built in bad quality could be real safety hazards. So here are some notes to help you choose a good scooter.
1. Battery And Motor
The two main parts of an electric scooter are battery and motor. Battery directly affects the endurance of a scooter being the core of the vehicle. Motor is the engine which influences the driven power of a scooter. Up to now, electric scooters in the market principally come with brushless motors, which are highly controllable with low noise. Such motors have strong durability and won’t be greatly weaken by long-term use. Therefore, large companies usually cooperate with qualified battery and motor manufacturers for long term development.
2. Product Design
We can tell a electric scooter good or not from many different details. It must be closely integrated with practice and fashion. If its appearance is highly recognizable yet it is inconvenient to ride because of such design, then i doubt that it is the correct scooter for you to choose. Take the shock absorption as an example. There may be a scooter with very nice and cool wheels but you gotta pay attention to the shock absorption so you don’t buy a shaky ride yourself. Trust me, you are not gonna like it.
3. Product Certification
So far, there is no specific international certifications for electric scooters. But we do have some certificates as reference, for example CE marking and COC.
CoC, a certificate of conformity, is issued by an authorized party (sometimes the manufacturer, sometimes an independent laboratory) and states that the product meets the required standards or specification.
CE marking is an administrative marking that indicates conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the EEA.
Before you order a scooter, contact the seller or store to ensure that they have CE making or COC for it.
No matter you use the scooter for commute or fun, you should not just follow suit.Instead, you need to thoroughly look into the scooters that you are going to order so that you make the money best out of it. Anyway, a good scooter can bring you a great convenience of life.
